Freedom Within Structure: A Peek at Our Asynchronized Program

At Healing Roots, we know that not every family lives by the clock—and that’s a beautiful thing.

Some of our learners are traveling the country with their families. Others are deeply involved in local co-ops, immersed in outdoor learning, or simply following a rhythm that doesn’t match the traditional Monday-to-Friday mold. For these families, the idea of sitting in front of a screen at set hours every day just doesn’t work.

That’s where our Asynchronized Learner Track comes in.

It offers the best of both worlds: freedom to move through your week your way, and structure that supports real, meaningful learning.

What Is the Asynchronized Track?

Our Asynchronized Learner Track is designed for students who want flexibility—without sacrificing connection or accountability.

Here’s what it looks like:

  • Weekly learning plans with guidance on subjects, projects, and pacing

  • Recorded content that families can engage with on their own schedule

  • Optional live check-ins to maintain connection with mentors and peers

  • Mentor support that follows your child throughout the year

  • Community opportunities like project showcases, school-wide celebrations, and student-led forums

It’s not just “do it yourself.” It’s “do it your way—with support.”

Perfect for Homeschoolers and Unconventional Schedules

We created this track for families who:

  • Already homeschool or unschool and want a little more guidance

  • Participate in local or traveling co-ops

  • Have variable work schedules, travel commitments, or neurodiverse needs

  • Want their children to have access to mentorship, community, and thoughtful curriculum—on their terms

It’s flexible, yes. But it’s also intentional, grounded, and responsive.

Flexibility Doesn’t Mean Isolation

One of the biggest myths about asynchronous learning is that it’s isolating. But at Healing Roots, our asynchronized learners are always part of the bigger school community.

They join in talent shows, seasonal circles, mentor chats, and student groups. They share projects, write letters to peers, and contribute to school-wide events. Their learning may not happen on a fixed schedule—but their place in our community is steady and strong.

Why It Works

The Asynchronized Track works because it honors the rhythm of each family while still providing:

  • Accountability (weekly mentor check-ins)

  • Clarity (clear, flexible learning goals)

  • Continuity (same mentor, same support system)

  • Connection (access to community and shared experiences)

It’s education that fits into your life—not the other way around.

A Rhythm That Respects Your Flow

Whether your child is learning in a treehouse, on the road, or across a kitchen table at 9 p.m., they deserve an education that supports—not stifles—their growth.

At Healing Roots, our Asynchronized Learner Track offers exactly that:
freedom within structure, and structure rooted in care.
