At Healing Roots, we believe in both. Whether you’re learning from a mountain village, a coastal town, or the back of an RV, our program is designed to move with your family—not against it. We’ve built Healing Roots for families who see the world as a classroom, who seek connection across cultures, and who want their child’s education to feel as alive and expansive as the journey they’re on. This is worldschooling—with support. --- ### What Is Worldschooling? Worldschooling is the practice of using travel, cultural immersion, and real-world experience as the foundation for a child’s education. It’s not just about seeing new places—it’s about letting those places shape learning in meaningful, personal ways. Healing Roots supports worldschoolers by offering a flexible, mentor-guided program that complements the lifestyle you’ve chosen—without the rigidity of traditional schooling or the overwhelm of going it alone. --- ### Learning That Travels With You Here’s how Healing Roots supports families on the move: - **Live classes + recorded content** so your child can stay on track across time zones - **Weekly mentorship** that provides grounding no matter where you are - **Project-based learning** that adapts to your child’s current interests and surroundings - **Open communication** with mentors and educators who *understand* unconventional rhythms - **Community connection** so your child feels anchored—even while exploring Whether you’re parked in Portugal or hiking in Montana, your child’s education continues—gentle, steady, supported. --- ### A Parent Shares: *"We’ve worldschooled for years, but it wasn’t until we found Healing Roots that our daughter felt both free and connected. She writes her essays from cafés in different countries, joins weekly circles from wherever we are, and has built friendships that span continents."* – Healing Roots parent, currently traveling through South America --- ### Real Learning, Inspired by Real Life With Healing Roots, your child’s travel experiences *become* part of the curriculum: - Studying ecosystems while hiking in Costa Rica - Writing poetry inspired by local art in Greece - Mapping ancient trade routes while sailing across the Atlantic - Interviewing locals for a personal storytelling project in Thailand Our mentors encourage students to integrate what they’re seeing and feeling into their learning—because that’s where the magic happens. --- ### Why Support Matters Worldschooling can feel empowering—but also isolating at times. Parents are often left trying to be the teacher, guide, schedule-keeper, and emotional support system—all while navigating life abroad. At Healing Roots, you don’t have to do it all alone. We’re here to offer rhythm, reflection, and reassurance as your child grows. --- ### A School That Moves With You Healing Roots isn’t just an online school. It’s a flexible, responsive learning village that lives in your pocket, walks with your child, and grows wherever you go. Because education shouldn’t be something you have to leave behind to see the world. It should be something you carry with you—rooted in connection, guided by curiosity, and shaped by experience. Wherever you are on the map, we’ll meet you there. ## Blog comments ## Related posts [![](https://www.healingrootsedu.org/hubfs/ChatGPT%20Image%20Feb%205%2c%202026%2c%2008_05_13%20PM.png)](https://www.healingrootsedu.org/blog/what-is-holistic-education-and-why-does-it-matter-for-your-child) ## [What Is Holistic Education, And Why Does It Matter for Your Child?](https://www.healingrootsedu.org/blog/what-is-holistic-education-and-why-does-it-matter-for-your-child) ![Picture of Healing Roots Online School](https://www.healingrootsedu.org/hs-fs/hubfs/hros%20flower.png?width=50&name=hros%20flower.png) [Healing Roots Online School](https://www.healingrootsedu.org/blog/author/healing-roots-online-school) Apr 6, 2026 At Healing Roots, we often say we teach the whole child—not just the part that fills out worksheets.
